These Cover photos are examples of my work as an aviation photographer in the last ten years.
It was a rainy and grey day when I made the image of the Jetprop Malibu’s new panel for fliegermagazin in February 2009. Immediately after take-off we were in the clouds. I used the image of the Ammersee south of Munich as a background later. The problem: We were flying to the north when I made the picture, but the Alps are in the South … therefore I had to manipulate some of the instruments in Photoshop aswell. Photo by Alexis von Croy, Nikon D2x, Nikon AF-S DX 17-55, fill-in flash. Image edited in Nikon Capture NX2 and manipulated in Photoshop CS2.

Raytheon Premier I. Cover of fliegermagazin August 2002. Photo by Alexis von Croy. Nikon F100, Nikon AF-G 24-120, Fuji Velvia Professional. We had no chance to make this photo air to air – so we decided to fake it. Picture was made from a ladder on the ground and copied into a shot of the Bavarian Alps. We simply couldn’t find the right photo plane that day …
