Start von der 750-Meter-Grasbahn in Rakovnik, Tschechische Republik.
Technik: Klappen 50 Prozent ausgefahren, im Stand Vollgas gegeben und sofort nach dem Anrollen das Bugrad entlastet. Nach etwa 100 Metern rollt die Maschine nur noch auf dem Hauptfahrwerk. Nach dem Abheben erst einmal knapp über dem Boden Fahrt aufholen. Natürlich wäre auch ein viel steilerer Abflug möglich gewesen – aber es macht Spaß in geringer Höhe den Berg hinunter zu fliegen!
Take-off from LKRK’s 2400 ft grass runway 09L. Full power while holding the plane with the brakes, release brakes and raise nosewheel off the ground as early as possible. In a nose up attitude the bird left the ground by itself at around 65 kts. Accelerate in ground effect, raise flaps at 80 kts. Of course i could have climbed away much steeper – but following the field downhill was fun!
